The Mills Pond House Gallery invites artists to submit
works ranging from the macabre to the whimsical.
The gallery is looking for works that celebrate the
awesome power of art as a spiritual instrument that
helps man transcend its primeval fear of death and of
the unknown. The juror is not interested in works that
are gratuitously gory, but is looking instead for works
that have an added dimension and portray frightening
subject matters in a philosophic, romantic or humorous
light. MIDNIGTH OILS is part of the FOOL MOON FESTIVAL
- A Month Long Celebration of Halloween Lore held
on the grounds of the MILLS POND HOUSE GALLERY,
the only haunted art gallery on Long Island.

THE MEANING OF OBJECTS & SYMBOLS IN VANITAS ART -
PRESENTED BY ALAIN K. KHADEM at the MILLS POND HOUSE GALLERY

A presentation of Vanitas art by Alain K. Khadem with special emphasis on the significance of objects, icons and symbols of death and transience in vanitas art.

The presentation is part of the FOOL MOON FESTIVAL - A Month Long Celebration of Halloween Lore and is scheduled to take place at the MILLS POND HOUSE GALLERY in October 2008 [exact date to be announced].

( JANUARY - JUNE 2008)

The artist is currently seeking short term exhibition opportunities on Long Island to introduce the VANITAS COLLECTION to a larger audience of art collectors and art lovers in the New York Metropolitan Area.
